My Crazy Fear of Public Speaking

I work in a retail store and I am the immediate supervisor to around 25 employees. I like my job most of the time. I get a lot done when there isn’t something crazy going on that I have to take care of. I can easily delegate responsibilites, too. But recently my manager asked me to do customer service training with my crew.

When I’m training someone I handle everything fine. However, I am so scared to present to a large group where multiple eyes are on me. I remember is college when I had to present on something to my class and I especially remember having a fear of public speaking.

I talked to my manager about this and she said that I should research techniques that will help me develop my presentation skills. I did this and even though I’m still nervous, I feel like I’ll at least make sense. And who knows, maybe with a bit more practice I’ll become a great public speaker.
