World Class Food Safety in Singapore

Singapore has world class food safety standards according to a panel of foreign experts completing a review of the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA). The AVA used a controlled science-based method of sourcing for food from markets with health risks, instead of slapping a blanket ban on such markets.

There are benefits associated with this including using a science basis for making decisions on imports. The result is that the food safety risk minimizes. The panel praised Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority ’s efforts to keep out bird flu by implementing a control zone in nearby Kepri, a Indonesian province.

A key initiative is to develop intelligence networks in Singapore and also globally – on animal and plant health as well as food safety to help enhance food safety and biosecurity in Singapore.

Singapore has some of the finest dining facilities around the world. In its fine restaurants you will find a huge selection of authentic local, regional, and international cuisine. You will find these restaurants in a variety of places – from five (5) star Singapore hotels to street vendors selling their wares as you wander around the city.

Singaporeans are always pushing the limits by dreaming up new concepts in dining as well as restaurant themes that add fresh dimensions to the fine art of dining.
