Should You Get an MBA or other graduate degree?
Going back to school seems like an excellent option for those who can’t currently find work. However, going back to school is a massive financial undertaking. A good thing to consider is if going back to school to gain management training in business with an MBA is a good idea. Are you in a business that values experience over education? If so it may be a better and more cost effective option to skip going back to school and simply attend a management training seminar or buy a book on management training or leadership development.
Although, going back for a graduate degree does not necessarily take you out of the market completely it can be quite difficult to work full-time and go to school. Consider how valuable your time is, if you have children and how much time you like spending with your family and on other activities.
