Horse Racing in Singapore

Singapore has the international reputation as being a country that is extremely organized.  The services provided cater to visitors staying in the Singapore hotels, perusing the shopping malls, and attending the horse races with excellence, attention to detail and thoughtfulness, when considering what is convenient and necessary of meeting the needs of their clients, of their patrons, and of their guests.  Nothing is left without attention to detail and this includes the horse racing industry.  The standards at Singapore tracks, are among the best in the world.  The various tracks, specifically the Kranji Race Track, located throughout the city will send limousines to the hotels, to chauffeur those wanting to attend.  And they will bring them back to the hotel, when the races are finished.  Some tracks however, do enforce a dress code.  The Singapore Turf Club is one such track, no t-shirts, shorts, nor jeans will be accepted at the gates.

The design of the courses and the tracks provide excellent venues, as well as the foresight for the elements and aspects that are convenient to those in attendance.  The Turf Club has won awards throughout the industry of architecture, for these specific reasons.  It is truly one of the most uniquely designed race tracks, if not one of the most innovative structures erected.  Benefits to the spectators were of utmost concern to the architects and designers that are seated not only in the private high-priced box seats, but in the grand stands as well.  The bars located throughout are five star establishments.  Night races are lit by flood lights, and the afternoon races on the weekends provide numerous opportunities for excitement , and perhaps a small purse to take home should one bid on the right pony.  The purse for the annual race held every July, the Emirates Singapore Derby, carries not such a small purse…but one of a million dollars.  There are many activities to chose from in the country, and a day at the tracks is just one of them.
