Your summer plans may have had a change. You may not be able to afford the traditional family vacation this summer due to the fact that you are cutting back in other areas of your life. But you can still make the most of your summer even if you are on a budget and don’t have as much expendable income. If you are still looking to get out of town you can.

Look around and see what places are in your area that you have always wanted to visit and never got around to getting there. There are lots of trips that you can take that only require one tank of gas. So you can go for cheap when you split it up per person either if you go with your family or just with a group of friends.

Also if you consider driving, you can go on a trip with your family and friends you can get some great hotel deals this time of year as well. Check out websites like Expedia or Priceline. You can name your own price on hotels on Priceline and make away with a killer deal.

If you don’t have the money to go out of town, consider staying in town. Do what is called a staycation and stay in your home and do things that you would normally not have time to do. Don’t run errands and don’t do what you would normally do if you were at home, take a legitimate vacation. Go around you own town and experience the culture that your city has to offer. You may just discover something new that you never had time to find before.

If you do have extra money sitting around, consider making your backyard an oasis by renovating and maybe buying a hot tub. Go to choosehottubsdirect.com and comparison shop, you may find that they are more affordable than you thought.
