Walking Manhattan
It wasn’t difficult to find time to walk in Manhattan, especially when I have the energy. Without the treats of storms, rain or any of the other challenges with what the city of Manhattan can be exposed to, so the time is perfect. I set goals to always be ready to find happiness where every I go. You’d think this might be a difficult task, but I’ve found it to be extremely easy.
This morning, exiting the Best Manhattan Hotel, heading east to west, crossing Central Park straight through the Ramble was easy. New York makes itself a place to enjoy when one is open to find any singularity of happiness. With a pure thought and openness to what opens up around me and in front of me, like how blue the sky is with a few puffy clouds lazily floating about. A refreshing breeze help lighten my step. The trees on the upper east side sang along with the breeze making a musical of nature.
With each step, there was plenty to enjoy. The townhouses I passed revealed a humbleness compared to the skyscrapers. Watching businesses open, getting ready for a day of customers. So much to be grateful for. Entering the Upper East side 5th avenue I was hit with a delicate hue of green shade, and some spots of different colors. Joggers running past with a look of magnificent concentration and movements of ease and grace. Dog owners admiring their dogs, the dogs happily smelling what’s new with their friends and leaving news of what’s new with them. The song of the birds, so many different songs, each one trying to out sing the next. All so wonderful, so beautiful. What a pleasant walk I was having, I would even say a happy walk. It’s not hard to do when happiness is an agenda.
