As the capital of the Philippines it is no wonder that Manila is incredibly rich in cultural heritage and historic landmarks, as well as its social significance. It is also one of the world’s largest urban areas with a total population of over nineteen million people. It is also one of the most densely populated cities, which means that more people are existing in a single unit of space than those areas that are more geographically spread out. This generally contributes to a more congested city feel than places of a similar population but are more thoroughly spread out. However, the denseness of Manila is hardly the first thing on the minds of the many guests who stay in a hotel Manila Philippines.
Among the incredible views, and opportunities for out of town day trips, and of course the major entertainment options available in Manila, it is also extremely rich is cultural landmarks. Places like the Manila Cathedral, Paco Park, and Fort Santiago attract tourists in great numbers and serve as some of the major cultural icons of the city. The Manila Cathedral was originally constructed four hundred years ago, though it has been destroyed and rebuilt numerous times. Its current manifestation was completed in 1958 and it serves as the seat for the archbishop of Manila.
Paco Park is a beautiful green land space in Manila that was originally developed to serve as its cemetery. The beautiful gates that lead into the park testify to this sacred intent. The television show Paco Park Presents is filmed here and originated from the Friday afternoon classical concert series that took place there. Fort Santiago is part of the greater historic structure known as the Intramuros. This was the walled city of Manila originally constructed by the Spanish. The fort was built as part of the defense aspects of this fortified city. It was built for the conquistador Miguel Lopez de Legazpi. More hotels around the world here
