India is one of the most fascinating countries on earth, and Delhi is one of its most interesting cities.  It has one of the largest urban populations of any city in the world, and it really is possible to watch people all day long while you’re here.  The human drama plays itself out every day here, in a way that’s totally unique, and feels as old as time itself.  Delhi is a fabulous city with scores and scores of attractions, and is a magnet for people from all backgrounds, cultures, and languages.  If you’re planning a trip here and looking for 4-star hotels, Delhi has a lot to offer.  It’s been a host to guests for centuries, and there’s a tradition for hospitality here that’s older than the hotel industry.  Ours offer this graciousness with all the best of the contemporary amenities and technologies, so you’ll be connected to the world you know while also being in the heart of India.

You’ll enjoy the sumptuous decor in our rooms, the knowledgeable and friendly staff, and the fantastic food.  Delhi has a lot to offer everyone, but it is a real chowhound’s delight.  India has some of the most amazing food on the planet, and Delhi is a distilled version of this, offering the best of the best.  India’s different regions are all represented here, and there’s amazing feasts in store for you.  And after a feast for the palate, it’s a splendid time to feast the eyes.  Art in Delhi is extravagant and subtle, reflecting a long history of painting in India.  One of its most esteemed galleries, Delhi Art Gallery, has a tremendous collection, featuring some of the works of the great masters of the past century.

One of its treasures is its collection of works by the Bangladesh artist, R C Bagchi.  He lived from 1910-1977, and was an art teacher, and eventually principal, at Kala Bhavan.  His themes wrapped around traditional and sacred aspects of Indian life, combining classical Indian and western iconographies, and his works are intended to put the viewer into a mild trance state.  The Delhi Art Gallery is worth a visit while you’re here.
