Back with the In-Crowd in Singapore

It really good to be back with the In-crowd and staying at one of the business hotels Singapore has to offer the elite business person. Not much has changed since I was last here, only six month ago. I spent my first night in the bar of the hotel. It was nice to just relax and catch up on all the news.

After my many business meetings on Friday, I decided to go for a stroll. I made it as far as the Botanic Gardens. I haven’t had the time on my previous trip to check this place out, so I went in and wandered around the Garden of Evolution, which took me through the beginning of time to present day. The exhibit only lasted about 15 minutes, I found that very ironic. I then walked through the reflexology path barefooted! After that, I found a nice shady spot and spent my afternoon reading a book I’ve been wanting to read for months and then I dozed off. That’s how peaceful the Botanic Garden is! I walked back taking the Orchard Road and stopped off for some exquisite coffee. I didn’t do any shopping.

The next day was Saturday, and my flight didn’t leave until very late in the evening, so I went for a swim at the hotels pool and then did some shopping. I got some great deals on camera accessories. Then, through compliments of my hotel, I went and caught the new Cirque de Soleil show ‘Quidam‘. My ticket was for the VIP seats. What a great hotel! I had been wanting to see any Cirque de Soleil show every since my first show over 5 years ago. ‘Quidam’ was fantastic and the clowns were very amusing, I laughed so hard, I had tears rolling down my face. I was enthralled for 2 hours.

It was hard to come back to reality after the show, but I packed my bags and checked out to catch my flight back to Auckland. But, first I thanked the staff for providing me a ticket to see the show and for their great hospitality.
